Description

For a Foot Sargent of Heavy Artillery: 26 inches total length, 19 inch hand forged blade, solid brass fittings, blade marked Chatellerault 1833 - Pihet Freres., patterned on a Roman Gladius, also used and copied for the US army during the civil war, original leather washer, leather scabbard nicely preserved, brass cleaned years ago nicely toning. Excellent example, overall very fine used condition.
