1914-18 Honor Cross w/ Swords: (The Hindenburg Cross). The first decoration created by the 3rd Reich for soldiers and non-combatants who served in WW1. Established by president Paul von Hindenburg on July 13, 1934. Also awarded to the surviving next-of-kin. Bronze plated steel, 38 mm, marked 87 R.V. Pforzheim (G18), 13.5 cm ribbon, light wear.
