Anorak Sheepskin Great Coat: The German Armed Forces had at least a dozen styles of greatcoats. The fleece lined animal skin greatcoat was designed for extreme winter conditions for stationary guards, sentries, truck drivers, bomber crews, and front line combat troops for wear over their uniform. The animal skin coats were returned to a storage depot at the end of the season for reissue the following year. This coat is large, designed for a 6 foot 190 lb soldier, two leather lined pockets, three toggle/leather-loop closures (top toggle and bottom loop missing); there a few small tears and panel seams that need repair, a really magnificent greatcoat.
