Description

West Wall Fortification Badge - Generalunternemung: Zinc, 35 mm, missing pin, Peter Bauwens Koln, light to moderate wear. All heavy equipment and artillery was dismantled and moved to the Atlantic Wall in 1941-43. The Germans lost air supremacy over France in 1943-44. The "West Wall" ceased to exist on D-Day June 1944. In mid 1944 the Eastern Front also collapsed.
