SS Demjansk Shield: Early highly vaulted 52x94 mm stamped soft steel shield with a grey finish, made by Karl Wurster, 115x55 mm grey-green wool backing, steel back plate showing some rust secured by four prongs, desireable and rare black "lizard skin" paper backing, beautiful smooth even color with virtually no signs of corrosion except to the midline of one of the swords, light wear. This shield is priced about double of those ugly zinc versions - but well worth it.
