Deutsche Afrika Korps (DAK) Tropenhelm: olive-brown felt over a cork form, has a few small moth nips, very little of the green leather trim remains, just enough to keep the wire rim stiffener from getting lost, red fiber liner broken in two spots, leather JHS liner is intact and in excellent condition, inside liner marked (size) 54 - 1942, chinstrap missing, both aluminum decals are in near mint condition. Probably a near mint example when brought back but severely damaged from improper storage. An excellent restoration project.
