
German Infantry General's Cape
Description
German General der Infantrie Cape: Field green doeskin wool, same color rayon lining, two 11 cm wool straps w/button closure secures the cape leaving an opening for both hands to read maps or wield a weapon. The right side of the Cape has five 25mm plastic buttons spaced 13.5 cm apart. The left side of the Cape has a 5 cm wool strip with buttonhole compartments to hide the buttons when the cape is closed to cold weather. Opening a few buttons allows the General to draw his pistol or grab a submachine gun. The cape extends down to cover the top of his leather boots. The collar is dark green wool over a quilted base of the same fabric as the cape with a steel neck and loop closure. The red wool and gold bullion collartabs measure 4.5 x 9.5 cm. The cape passes a closed closet blacklight test, virtually mint condition.
