German Swiss Language Solidarity Day Badge Bad Sackingen, Aug 20, 1933

$90Sold

Description

Bad Säckingen is located in the very south of Germany next to the Swiss border on the river Rhine. The city lies on the southern edge of the Black Forest area. Alemannen is a Schwabian dialect of the German language - in many foreign languages such as French it simply means "German." This large 50 x 35 mm badge is stamped brass, a German and a Swiss man in peasant costumes are shaking hands over the Rhine bridge, the tip of the catch on the pin is broken but it still stays shut, very light wear, scarce!
