Description

The Jagdgeschwader Richthofen (Fighter Wing Richtofen) was one of a number of commemorative cufftitles introduced by the Luftwaffe to honor famous hero pilots of WWI. The Richthofen cufftitle was introduced in April 1935 for wear by members of Flyer Group Döberitz who served with Richthofen in WWI. Six months later on October 29 1935 the Jagdgeschwader Richthofen cufftitle was replaced by a new version titled Jagdgeschwader Frhr. v. Richthofen Nr. 1 1917/18.
