1878-1903 Munich 25 Year Volunteer Fire Brigade Medal: Die struck, solid coin silver, 82x67x5 mm, 160.36 gm (5.15 troy oz), hand engraved name and date of service to (Josef Sproth, 1878-1903), never cleaned, dark blue and red toning, mint condition. Leather covered wood presentation box, 12x10.2x3.4 cm, two leather covered hinges and a push button brass catch; embossed with gold letters: Fur 25 jahrige Dienstleistung in der freiwilligen Feuerwehr Munchen 1878-1903; raised blue velvet bed with a padded white silk lid, a diagonal 10.0 cm wide blue silk band is present to hold the missing award certificate, moderate wear.
