Description
"Schwertlied" (The Sword Song) by Theodor Korner: The last 2 lines of Korner's battle poem where he describes the morning of a battle as the wedding day of a warrior and his sword as if the weapon was his bride yearning to come out of the sheath and go into combat. When morning comes, he draws the sword as battle awaits him, making the marriage legal before God. ("the trumpets warning proclaims the marriage morning, God weds the right hand to the bride.").
