Recent news: Dessau has gained notoriety for the death of a convicted African drug trafficker and failed asylum seeker in his cell at a Dessau police station. Tied to his bed because he was drunk and violent, he then set his mattress on fire with a lighter causing his own death. Of course the media and a sympathetic judge blamed the police.
