Description

SA Feldpost Cufftitle: One of the rarest political/paramilitary cuff titles. This one may be the only example that seems to have surfaced. Olive/tan sleeveband fabric with machine embroidered "Feldpost" in off-white/light tan cotton that appears to have been produced for the NSDAP or SA. The band is bordered with silver grey threads, identically embroidered to the cufftitles of the early SS, with 6 strands/5 strands/6 strands, etc. The sleeveband is full length (18.5 inches) and does not appear to have been worn. The reverse of the fabric is olive brown, while the obverse is a lighter tan. There is little or no infomation regarding the SA or NSDAP 'Feldpost' other than the special mobile post offices/mail drops at the Reichsparteitag events. Definitely an interesting research project! This cufftitle was originally part of the collection of noted collector Ed Stadnicki.
